As the product grows, it needs a little housekeeping occasionally. We’ve also been adding support for Logs and Traces the past few weeks, along with the existing Metrics and Events pipelines, so we just wanted to take a step back, take stock of things, and simplify how you access the various settings that are spread out from the Levitate cluster to the overall product’s settings.
Now, with Control Plane, all the settings you’d need to manage your data are centralized here. Create tokens, manage which clients have what access, set up aggregation pipelines, define macros, or debug your data with Cardinality Explorer and Slow Query Logs — all accessible in the Control Plane.
With the introduction of the Control Plane, we’re now doing away with the screen for Levitate. This used to create some confusion given the entire product is, indeed, Levitate. Like we said, housekeeping. :)
Settings are now segregated by organization and user. And, Notification Channels are now in Alert Studio, so you can manage them along with the rest of your alert configurations.
