Introducing Real User Monitoring Sessions

Our new RUM Sessions feature transforms how you understand user behavior on your applications. Instead of viewing isolated page views or events, you can now follow complete user sessions from start to finish, seeing exactly where users encounter problems and how they navigate through your application.

  • Complete session timeline in the "All Views" tab showing every page visit and interaction
  • Separate "Views with Errors" tab to quickly identify sessions with console errors and exceptions
  • Detailed session information panel with browser attributes, screen dimensions, and performance metrics
  • Rich context for each view including timestamps, error counts, and page paths
  • Filter and analyze sessions by duration, error patterns, user behavior, and technical attributes

For more, read our RUM docs.

Improvements

  • Discover Kubernetes: Hover on info icons in Deployment, Statefulset, and Pods view tables to view the exact metrics queries, for better transparency
  • SLOs: Better autocomplete and guidance while creating new SLOs for smoother setup experience

Fixes

  • Dashboard crashing issue in logs chart tooltips was not handling null values properly
  • Traces screen redirection was not working when viewing specific trace IDs
  • Related metrics filters were showing unknown values when data was not present
  • Kubernetes deployment replica queries were using sum instead of max aggregation
  • Time-sliced logs and traces queries had unnecessary limits affecting performance
  • Trace-to-metric batching was causing performance issues in scheduled jobs
